Anthony was born in Thomasville, GA but raised in Pompano Beach, Florida where he spent most of his life. Now residing in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife, Rynn Thomas and their three daughters, Olivia, Ashleigh, and London. He attended Queens University in Charlotte, NC on a basketball scholarship where he studied philosophy and religion. Anthony is an ordained deacon and has served in this capacity for over 5 years. His musical expertise spans over 2 decades, but moreover his passion and love for Christ is the driving force behind his worship stylings. In his spare time Anthony enjoys playing basketball and having “fun” time with his wife and daughters.
Rodney was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He met his wife and best friend Sheryl in 1984 and they were married in December 1987. They have a daughter, Jessica, son-in-law, Lasiah and son, Rodney. Their daughter, Jessica has blessed them with two beautiful grandchildren, Jaelyn and Jayden. Rodney has a BA in Bible, an M.A in Ministry, and an M. Div from Luther Rice University. He completed his Doctoral work at Union University. Rodney was committed to the clear practical teaching of God's Word as it is key to victorious living. His hobby is spending time with family. On his way to the church for work, Pastor Rodney meet Jesus on December 6, 2018. While his presence is greatly missed, his vision and ministry continues. Click for more information.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Jenny was called to education and missions at age 20. She became a Kindergarten teacher in Gwinnett County after graduating from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Masters of Education degree from Walden University. Jenny is married to Shawn Haney, and they have four young children, a daughter and three sons. She has been in Children's ministry since 2006.
Anthony Thomas- Worship Leader
Amanda Nix serves as Ministry Assistant for BBC. Amanda was previously involved in Ministering Hands which supported the Lawrenceville Cooperative, the Pregnancy Resource Center, the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home as well as other short term outreach and in-reach ministries at her former church. Amanda also worked part-time as a Ministry Assistant. Amanda served for 3 years as Children’s Ministry Director at Atkinson Road Baptist Church and subsequently as interim Youth Director for 3 years. Amanda also has experience as an as an Executive Assistant in the IT department at Gwinnett Medical Center and as an IT project manager at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta and. Amanda enjoys hiking to waterfalls in North Georgia when she is not busy working on the family farm. Amanda is married to Charles Nix and they have 4 children all of whom are grown and on their own. The nest is not empty however, as Amanda’s mother; Anita lives with Charles and Amanda right here on Cooper Road.
God blessed Steve with an awesome wife, Erika, and they just celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They have four wonderful children: Jameson, Arianna, Brielle, and Amberly. Steve graduated from Pensacola Christian College and earned a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. Steve has the great privilege to be Involved student ministry both inside and outside the church. God led him into student ministry at apartment complexes through after school programs, where he serves alongside an organization called Youth Outreach United. He also ministers to students on public school campuses through Christian Learning Centers at Brookwood High School. Steve loves to hike, read, build fires, and build furniture with family and friends.
Jamie was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. He grew up as a pastor’s kid with nine brothers and sisters and accepted Jesus at a young age. While attending Toccoa Falls College, he met his wife Tiffany, and they were married in 2004. They have 4 children: Hallie, Sophie, Tucker, and Evie. Jamie has an MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a DMin from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jamie has a passion to teach and preach God’s Word. He also oversees Berean’s Community Groups. Jamie enjoys time with his wife and children, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing, and watching Georgia football.
