HOW WE MAKE DISCIPLES

Discipleship is the Top Priority of a healthy, growing church

A "disciple" is a follower of Jesus. In Matthew 28:18-20, the church is commissioned by Jesus: “Go therefore and Make Disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” At Berean, we believe two things are needed to make disciples - Community Space and Learning Space.

Circles

First, disciples need Community Space to grow.  At Berean we call our community spaces “Circles.”  A “Circle” is a small group that primarily meets in homes for Bible study and prayer. These Circles center around the two things that every disciple desperately needs: God’s word and God’s people.

Circuits

Secondly, disciples need Learning Space to grow.  At Berean, we call our learning spaces “Circuits.”  Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance, resistance, and high intensity training.  Likewise, Berean Circuits are learning environments that train disciples to grow stronger in their knowledge, love, and obedience of Jesus Christ.
